Understanding Domain Health Checks

Your domain's reputation is critical for email deliverability. MailPulse provides comprehensive domain health analysis to help you understand where you stand.

What We Check

MX Records

Mail Exchange records tell us if a domain is configured to receive email. Without valid MX records, emails to that domain will bounce.

SPF (Sender Policy Framework)

SPF records specify which mail servers are authorized to send email for your domain. A missing or misconfigured SPF record can cause your emails to be flagged as spam.

DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication)

DMARC tells email providers what to do with emails that fail SPF checks. It also provides reporting on authentication failures.

Interpreting Your Score

  • Good: Valid MX, SPF, and DMARC configured
  • Medium: Valid MX plus either SPF or DMARC
  • Poor: Missing critical records or no valid MX

Next Steps

Use our Domain Health API to check any domain's configuration before adding it to your sending infrastructure.
